My Take on the Condor Recon Chest Rig from Bemidji, MN
Out here in Bemidji, where we’ve got plenty of woods and ranges to play in, I picked up the Condor Recon Chest Rig (MCR5) for around $60 online, and it’s been a solid addition to my gear. As someone who likes hitting the local range or running drills on a friend’s property, this rig gets the job done. The kangaroo-style pouches hold six AR mags and a few pistol mags with no issue, perfect for a day of shooting. The padded straps and Swivi-Lockster buckles keep it comfy, even when I’m trekking through the brush or layering it over a plate carrier. The MOLLE webbing’s a nice touch, letting me add a radio pouch or small IFAK without any hassle.
I’ve used it in the chilly Minnesota fall, and it’s held up great—no frayed edges or broken stitches yet, which I was a bit worried about for the price. It’s not some fancy operator-grade kit, but for range days or messing around with buddies, it’s reliable and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I’d give it a solid 5/5—perfect for us regular folks up here who want good gear without spending a fortune.
