A Serious Pack for Hunting or Survival

I have owned this pack in the Coyote Tan color for several years, and have used it mainly for weekend hunting excursions. It's rugged and well made. The fit of the pack is at 19 inches where I actually need a 20 inch, and the belt does work well as does the chest strap so that the pack rides well on my hips as long as my shoulder straps are adjusted properly.
I can recommend this pack for it's "mission specific" use but, I have not used it for a long range thru hike. The pack weighs 5.4 lbs empty and without any other attachments so it's a heavy pack. The zippers are heavy duty and I have not have any issues. I use the external molly attachment points for a first aid kit, hand held transceiver, ammo pouch etcetera. The internal pockets are easily accessible and hold maps & navigation aids, notepad & pens without any issues. The internal hydration pouch area holds my 2.5 liter bladder without any issues.
I don't recommend this pack as a "thru hiking backpack" as it's empty weight is the downside at 5.4 lbs. Some people wouldn't have an issue using it for a thru hike but, again this bag is mission specific. The only way to improve this pack would be to drop the weight off of it somehow without sacrificing the quality.

Good pack that could improve

I own two of these packs for bug out/emergency use. The general layout of the zippered compartments are very good, especially the admin(kudos to copying Direct Action), and the laptop/water bladder compartments. Also the materials are generally high quality, however the mesh material on the waist/shoulder straps could be of better quality and in the case of the removable waist belt, it should be of material that does not stick to the velcro behind the lumbar pad as you remove the belt. Also the shoulder straps should be redesigned to a reinforced yolk style system similar to the 5.11 rush 72 or 24 pack. The biggest issue, however, is the snack sized side pockets that are Way too small for anything but snacks. Forget putting any drink larger than a soda can inside these pockets b/c it will not fit. It would be nice to see the side pockets similar to the 5.11 Rush 72 or the Camelback BFM 100oz mil spec Crux (Even better). The main compartment is nice and large, but has no compression straps inside the compartment, nor any molle webbing for attaching compartment pouches, which would be nice additions. The zippers are excellent quality YKK, and the zipper tracks are reversed to help keep out dirt/debris. However it would be nice to see fabric coverings over the zipper tracks to prevent water from getting into the pack when it rains. Overall this is an excellent offering by Condor and if the above improvements are implemented I believe this would be Better than 5.11 and almost Any other pack design out there for its size.

Great heavy duty backpack

Very well thought out pack. Heavy duty quality. The name brand Cordura material is noticable. I think other companies use the 1000d kodra. This pack has milspec water resistant Codura 500d if im not mistaken. I think that makes it lighter but not sure, something to look at. Would highly recommend. The straps, suspension system, and back padding wonderful. Really gets the weight where it needs to be.

Its the perfect size for most airline requirements for carry on luggage. The side straps help keep it at that size incase you pack bulky. Mostly I live out of this bag these days. It has many features that make it a very versatile bag.
