How do I clean/wash my plate carrier?
Preparation: - Remove armor plates and set them aside. Never wash plates with the carrier. - Empty all pouches of magazines, tools, or personal items. - Detach removable pouches, cummerbunds, or straps, and wash them separately. - Inspect Velcro, buckles, and straps for debris and clear them before washing. Washing: 1. Pre-Treat Stains ā Use a small amount of mild dish soap on stained areas and scrub with a soft brush or toothbrush. 2. Prepare Cleaning Solution ā Fill a tub with six inches of lukewarm water mixed with gentle laundry detergent. Do not use hot water, as it may weaken materials or fade colors. 3. Clean the Carrier ā Scrub with a sponge or cloth, paying close attention to high-contact areas such as shoulder straps, Velcro panels, and cummerbund attachments. Use a toothbrush for seams and ground-in stains. 4. Rinse ā Drain the soapy water and rinse thoroughly with cool, clean water. 5. Remove Moisture ā Press a towel into the carrier to absorb water. 6. Air-Dry ā Hang in a shaded, ventilated space. Ensure it is completely dry before reinstalling armor plates or storing away.
I bought this plate carrier in 2016 and it has regularly seen abuse, wet, freezing, dry and hot conditions. It has had 7-8 setups taken on and off and new things zip tied and strapped on and used. It as held up better than any other plate carrier I have ever owned or worked in. If it ever gets retired Iāll buy the same thing again!!
Iāve owned this for a few years now. It has held up very well. I run RMA ceramic plates in it and they fit perfectly.
