I purchased this jacket around 13 years ago while an Active Duty Marine. My SgtMaj caught me wearing it once and I was later told to meet him in his office. Turns out he liked it and wanted to know where I got it. Later that week I was told by my platoon Sergeant I could wear it to the field.
Since then this has been my go to jacket for daily wear assuming the weather allows it. It’s done literally everything with me. The inside is a little pilled from concealed carrying. All of the zippers still work great, the hook and loop patches are still very functional. I had even bought one in black in 2015 to wear for law enforcement training. But the coyote is still my favorite. Wear on its own for warm to chilly weather, layer with an M-65 field jacket liner for cold temperatures.
Whenever I need a reliable comfort jacket this one more than fits the bill!
