This hat was recommended to me after I complained about the poor fitting of my GORUCK tac hat. This hat fits so much better! I prefer the GORUCK's top though. There's a small bump with this that's noticeable if wearing headphones or hearing protection. Aside from that, the only thing I'd really love to see added is a similar soft fabric on the underside of the brim, again like the GORUCK hat. Just to have someplace to put a new patch when I earn it. (Posted on 7/5/2019)

I love this cap and I may wear this all the time. What I didn't like was when I got it home and I removed that plastic tag from one of the holes, and the stitching came off with the tag. Now I have one hole with no stitches. So folks, clip that tag and don't just pull it out the hole. Then again, maybe it's just this one cap ... (Posted on 7/5/2019)

i got mine in 2012 during the end of basic training, i had it in my wall locker during a final inspection. the company commander took it out walked up to me and without saying a word said "what the fuck is this shit?!" by holding it up the hat to my face and placed it on my bunk post. i still have it to this day with me here in GTMO. its been the hat ive worn 80% of the time i wear a hat. and everyday almost for my past three jobs. its literally falling apart. but i really dont want to retire it. i gotta know, does this updated version have enough velcro for a normal sized name tape on the back, or is it still that odd size? i know the flex fit one does. what you guys should do for this hat is make the adjuster strap a bit wider and all velcro with two small sections of velcro on either side of the rear opening so you can put a name tape right on the back just like a normal patrol cap, and wont force people to put a full size name tape on that small section of velco, ive seen it too many times, from those who just dont get how dumb it looks to have a name tape on the back of their hat and it looking like wings.
