Technology
That is what I was expecting. Small, portable, lightweight. It certainly won't replace regular trauma kit, it's not big enough, but it's ok as a quick first response to the injury.
I was able to pack inside: QuickClot, few small hemostatic gauze patches, Israeli Bandage, MedGloves, Trauma Shears and few adhesive bandages.
Chest Seal won't fit, unless you fold it in half.
I picked up one of the Gen I versions a year ago and realized all the other IFAKs I was using didn't compare to the size and solid construction, so I got this Gen II. I am even happier with this one. It's easy to pull with either arm, has a small footprint on my belt, but still holds everything I require in an IFAK. I bought two more in the last six months for my family. The tan works great with my OCP/Scorpion pattern gear.
This pouch is a fantastic way to carry medical on a belt. I typically carry this on my work belt for the range and during training. It’s a little bulky when carrying in the six o’ clock position, especially when sitting. However, the pouch is easily accessible and is quite convenient to don and doff. Overall, it is a great piece of kit that could be slimmed down a tad.
