Back saver! Review by Jeff Riechmann (McCall, Idaho) 3/8/2016 2:24 PM
I recently purchased this vest so that I could attach my "survival kit" when I go hiking; I could attach empty pouches to carry camera equipment when covering events for my newspaper; and more importantly, it could be used to help lift children with special needs during our Courageous Kids Climbing events. Today, I wore it on a hike. While hiking, I slipped on a wet slab of rock and tumbled about 20 to 30 feet down the side of a mountain before coming to a stop. I bruised a knee as well as an area on the upper butt cheek. When I inspected the vest, I found where the back of it had struck a couple of rocks but the vest had prevented me from being further injured! I love this vest, especially the padding in the back! It is also very comfortable to wear. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Good Vest for great value Review by J Singer (San Antonio, Texas) 3/20/2013 1:24 PM
This is a good vest. Well made for the value and it offers plenty of MOLLE space. Works great in conjunction with the Condor Battle Belt. Slight refinement is required when you get it, i.e. removing/burning excess threads to clean it up. Fits my 6'2", 210 lbs frame well and adjusts easily. I also measured the integrated hydration pouch at about 8 in. wide x 13.5 in. tall. with plenty of depth space for full bladder. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Wish I'd had this years ago. Review by Ben Beals (NY) 4/26/2010 6:51 PM
This vest solves an issue I have always had with other tactical vest, which is placement of the hydration pouch inside the vest. You would have to take the vest off to refill your water. With this vest a buddy or I can access my H2O bladder easily, without me removing the vest and it is more low profile than attachable bladder pouches. It also means I can use the MOLLE points on the back for other things. I like the padding in the back. I spent much of my field time in a HUMVEE gun turret and in rough terrain it was not uncommon to have my back get slammed into the turret rim. A vest with a padded back like this would have been nice in those days. I can't speak on it's durability yet as I am just starting to use it (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Much cooler than the Molle vest Review by William Perigo (Woodstock, MD) 5/28/2009 10:49 AM
This is obviously not a plate carrier, but works well for MOLLE attachment and over body armor. The built in hydration pouch is really nice. Don't adjust the sides until you have a full bladder in the vest, because it will require some slack. My only complaint is that there is a space in the middle where two extra MOLLE rows could have been fitted. Mesh part is only in the front. Also, you don't see the mesh when the vest is equipped with MOLLE. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
