Great Quality---Great Price!!!! Review by Andrew (Iowa) 4/6/2018 8:03 AM
I so wanted to give this five stars, but had to go with four due to the cummerbund adjustability. This carrier is very comfortable. Front and back plates installed with no movement in the various positions one might find themselves in. Quality is amazing for this price point. The only issue I have is that the cummerbund appears to be set with the typical portlier person in mind. I am 5'10" and 175 pounds with a 31" waist. I adjusted the hook and loop sections overlapped as far as they would go and adjusted the paracord as tight as it would go in the back and still the 6X8 side plates flop around and the tops hang outward. Will have to get the sewing kit out and further adjust the elastic section to remedy this. Other than that this is an amazing piece of kit and I WILL be purchasing another one for the wife. Highly recommended for price and quality. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Great price and quality... for the bigger guys. Review by Cody (Ohio) 8/25/2017 1:50 AM
I really dont want to knock this item at all whatsoever, I do like it, but there are many issues. Sorry if I jump from problem to problem here. I took a class that required armor plates and 8 mags minimal for rifle. Although I placed weight on my belt line, I still noticed a huge amount of fine pressure on my shoulders. I am 5 11" 165 lbs and fairly muscle toned, 3 hrs a week in upper body lifting a week, but not jacked or built so I hope I can make a fair image here. Straps could be wider. After 12 hrs in a class 3 days in a row I HAD to improvise. There was a major need to adjust the cummerbund as this thing flew and floated around me even with ALL plates installed. I had to modify quite a bit. Also the buckles inside the carrier were total nonsense. With side plates installed the buckles dug into my skin mo matter how I adjusted or maneuvered them. I had to totally cut the buckles off, over lap the cummerbund in the back, sew, and overlap the shoulder straps to bring the plate to my sternum notch. For added retention used carabiners in the back to help hold everything square. ASC cut plates will swing back and forth inside carrier. I glued velcro to my plate and stitched to the carrier to avoid this. For the smaller more fit guys, this carrier will need added modification. If this was more adjustable, and fit me without a knife and needle involved, this would have gotten 5 stars easily. This carrier may be designed for the ones fighting the t.v. in the living room. I really hope condor can make some updates to this great carrier, they almost had it but no cigar. Price- 5 stars quality- 5 stars Innovation-4 Plate retention- 3-4Stars (depending on cut) Fitment- 0 Adjustment- 1 (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Incredible awsome and comfortable. Review by Betancourt (Texas) 8/2/2017 2:05 AM
Just wanted to say its a great product I am curently deployed and had my wife pick this bad boy up for me and sent it to myself, only minor problem I should of checked to see what size the side plate holders are, the GI side plates are a little too large for this but was able to rig something up. Great quality, great price, not so great sizing... Review by Justin (Pennsyltucky) 4/27/2017 7:55 AM
Just received my MOPC with 10×12 plates in the mail for my birthday. The quality seems fantastic as was the price, but I guess 5'7" is considered to be a small frame because this thing is huge on me. Had to make a major mod to the cummerbund in order for it to fit properly because it seems to be geared toward the heavier set person. Other than that, I have no complaints. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
My Newest Fav Carrier!! Review by Craig (Mid Atlantic-ish) 3/10/2017 7:47 PM
Now that I am retired and wear things I WANT to wear after looking around for a bit I decided on the Condor MOPC in tan since it generally blends into most urban landscapes and my living room. It makes me feel a little better/safer at the first private (pay) and public ranges in the area for the first time since I left home to strap on a weapon. Not that the public range in my area is bad/unprofessional{GREAT RANGEMASTERS!}at all BUT you never know how much someone does NOT know by looking at them after they sign the waiver. I believe I got muzzled more than guys TRYING to do that in all my years! They even let a couple go that struck RIGHT in the dirt between our stations. I was wondering why that bay was open with so many shooters...SO, anyway short story long. I decided to begin looking at decent body armor again that a retiree could afford. It did not take long to settle on the Condor at all. It arrived quickly and plates/backing went in easily and secured with no movement internally in MANY different stances, positions and configurations I may find myself in.This is comfortable enough to wear all day and give you the protection you require. Light,EZ, adjustable. It is considered light to moderate protection/weight depending on load out which is very easy to do with decent molle and hook loop areas and fasteners to personalize what you need it for. Seriously, it is really quite light and comfortable and and can be there if you need it (but hopefully never). I use mine for train/instruct where there is any possibility of an AD, which is each time I pick up a gun or someone else has one or one of THOSE SHTF/ZOMBIE?DAYS ever come. I like the easy wear ability (Med-XLG adjustable-REALLY!)it affords a really good price point. I have an equal to the job set of 3 AR/M4 mag pouch set secured in the front large misc/map pocket, shotgun ammo carrier and dump pouch with med kit without any clutter with the ability again to set up for need. Get one, be safe guys/gals!!! (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Perfect, all-around, MINIMALIST performer Review by chris (indiana) 8/16/2016 6:04 AM
I think that this is the BEST plate carrier for any of the following criteria. Someone who wants... 1. The lightest, sleakest carrier that is strong enough for heavy, steel plate armor without being too bulky. You can remove the cumberbund and wear this thing relatively discreetly (depending on your build and clothes) under a jacket or hoodie. AND... 2. ...A rig that's also stout enough to upgrade/build up with A FEW extra mags/pouches. REMEMBER, this IS NOT a heavy weight, hard usage, duty rig...at least NOT with steel plate armor and certainly NOT with added side plates. It could be done but I feel that it would push the comfort level and shorten the durability of this rig if you went all out commando with it. But you can still put all that you NEED on here without being an excessive "gear ninja". 2. An in case of emergency/bump in the night rig, trunk rig, etc. that's actually easy to put on. 3. A rig that can be used with hard armor, OR soft armor (again, technically it has room for hard and soft but you'd be pushing it to use both), or none at all. 4. Great, functional bells and whistles like the cumberbund pouches that offer terrific storage when not used to carry side armor. The thick shoulder pads with buckles on the back so that they don't interfere too much when handling a rifle. And the belly admin pouch that can easily be used to carry 3 rifle mags (even a couple AK mags) especially when you add the insert sold by Condor for this purpose. TRUST ME: IF YOU BUY THIS CARRIER THEN GET THE INSERT TOO! You'll love it & never want to buy a carrier that doesn't have a belly pouch again. It's an economical game changer that is a much better option, in my opinion, than external pouches molled to the front. I love mine & consider it to be simple, practical and comfortable. I think it's perfect for the average person. Don't plan on going to war or hiding in the woods with this thing. But it'll stand up to a tussle or two while keeping your kit intact. AWESOME Review by Anthony (GA) 9/19/2015 2:42 PM
I just picked this vest up today from the Atlanta gun show and absolutely love it. The fit is perfect and it is extremely easy to get on and off. I am an amputee and that it is easy to get it on and off is extremely helpful. Thanks for making such a great product. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
great carrier for the price Review by Dave Charnow (USA) 6/21/2015 10:50 PM
I have two of these carriers and i have to say I love them. I only have 1 issue with this carrier and that is the elastic on the cumberbund. I fived this using grommets with paracord reusing the cordlock. Its just that In not a tiny guy and if I were it would be worse but when i put plates into the side pockets they would droop and slant outwardly with the adjustment as tight as i could get it. so i removed the elastic entirely added some grommets in the side of the nylon, laced it up with paracord and put the cord lock back on and pulled her tight. now this rig fits perfect and i can put my radio on it without it flopping way off my hip. I added 2 of the battle belts to my rigs and my setup is complete in two different colors. Contact me if you'd like to supply me with new products for reviews.:) Also please feel free to try the fix for the elastic and use in your production if you like. Three people I have told this fix to have tried it and have never been happier. Thanks again for the great product at a reasonable price and keep coming up with new products in this line. Great vest great price Review by Andy (Salt Lake City, UT.) 12/24/2014 6:55 AM
I have been using this vest for a while now. It is very sturdy and reliable. The only issue I have with it is that the cummerbund is bungee chord in the rear and has a little too much give. Other wise, it's basically perfect. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
GREAT PRODUCT Review by Bobby (Midland, Tx.) 11/24/2014 6:43 PM
CONDOR, has some great products. The MOPC vest is a great vest. It did not cost me an arm and a leg like other brands. IT has held up just as well as those other brands. Look at out fitting our entire SWAT team. Great job Condor, keep up the great products!! (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Great Carrier! Review by TheBlueflyer83 (Golden, CO) 9/27/2013 10:41 AM
I bought this carrier in Multicam and for the price it’s an outstanding bargain for anyone on a budget, however the carrier was not designed for people with a smaller frame. I am NOT barrel chested nor have a gut to fill the void, so some modification needed to be done so the carrier would fit me properly. The vest now fits me like a +$200 carrier from other companies for a fraction of the cost! I will eventually make a youtube video of these mods incase anyone is in the same boat as me. NOTE: modifying your vest MAY void your warranty through Condor! (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Fly Away Security Team Leader Review by SrA Nathan (Kandahar Afghanistan) 5/21/2012 8:14 AM
I purchased this plate carrier for the unique mission I'm doing here in Afghanistan. I had seen Spec ops personnel using it and was interested after their positive reviews and due to the fact that it accepts both front and back plates and side plates. It is secure and comfortable. I had read about issues others were having with the sagging cummerbund. All I did was affix some 550/Para cord to the MOLLE loops closest to the elastic and tightened it to preference. I am very satisfied. I highly recommend the MOPC to anyone looking for a good plate carrier. Another awesome product from Condor Tactical. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Great Plate Carrier Review by RickC (SouthEast US) 4/27/2012 9:09 PM
Just bought this carrier, along with the triple kangaroo pouch. Mostly based very positive review by Nutnfancy.Have also experienced the sagging sides issue under heavy load.Followed Nutn's advise and bought several feet of heavy duty bungee cord and cut the original elastic panels out and used outer row of MOLLE webbing on either side to lace up.Solved the problem and still very comfortable.Easy to really lock the sides down now,no matter the load.Very impressed with the overall quality of this carrier.Performs as well as another carrier I own that cost over 3X what I paid. Thumbs up to Condor for QUALITY,INEXPENSIVE gear. I'll definitely be back for more (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Great Piece of Gear! Review by Sgt. Sexson (U.S.) 2/14/2012 5:37 PM
I've worn this kit through the grinder with front, back, and side E-Sap plates. This carrier is legit. Some side sag after time of continuous plate wear, but so did my OTV, MTV, and other military issued plate carriers. Some adjustment of bungees and elastic in back is necessary with ANY carrier I've used. For the price, this CANNOT be beaten. There are many companies out there that are way to proud of their carriers, and charge an arm and leg for them. I'm extremely proud of Condor for there support of the actual operator, which we all know doesn't make that much money (unless private contracting). Thanks (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Awesome product Review by Sivispace (Pacific Northwest) 1/30/2012 7:46 PM
It is an extremely well-made vest and I recently completed mine with 10x13 SAPI plates front and back and 6x8 SAPI plates on the sides. The molle works great and mine is set up to carry 12 m-16 mags and 8 double stack Sig mags, a radio pouch and a knife pouch. The plates fit pretty well although the side plates are a little long to fit the pouch. But for the sake of extra protection it's a minor issue. The plates fit and stay in place. I'm just an ex-prosecutor who bought it as part of my overall security plan in case the SHTF or other zombie situation. I do with there were some instructions with it because I feel like I'm not makeing full use of all the features but I would unequivocally reccomend this vest for anyone going into harm's way when a rifle shot is a possibility. Simple and perfect Review by N. Turano (Hendersonville, tn) 10/11/2011 2:21 PM
All I can say about this awesome product is that it is perfect. PRobably the best thing about this PC is how simple and effective it is. It's extremely customizable, for any height and size. I'm 5'5 185 lbs and I lent the vest to my friend who's 6'0 and 160 and with adjustment it fit just as well. Combine this vest and U.S armor IIIA armor and a plate, you have a high speed tank. Awesome, awesome product and even better with US armor inside. GET SOME! (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Security Operative Review by E. S. C. (Montana) 8/11/2011 7:35 PM
While the only other products I have to compare this to are the Point Blank Law Enforcement armor and the PASGT we wore in the military, I must say this is the most comfortable Plate Carrier I've worn. It breathes well and is extremely flexible with plenty of surfaces to mount all kinds of kit! I highly recommend this product for anyone in the Military/SWAT/Private Security Sector! You will not be disappointed! (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Ranger Plate Carrier Review by SGT Foley (Hunter AA GA) 8/7/2011 5:28 PM
This is the same if not better then the plate carrier our Rangers are issued. I too had a few issues with it though. While carrying heavy loads the cumberbund did begin to sag under the weight of the side plates and the MedPack on my left side. I have not found a remedy for that however I will try to do as stated by Victor. Also, the amount of padding in the front and back is enough for horse playing around but under direct combat scenarios it get jostled and you find your plates banging into you. Lastly, I am not a "Big" guy, I stand 5ft 11in, and weight in at a solid 180 lbs. I have wide shoulders but a small waist, so the cumberbund even when sinched all the way down was still too big and would sag big time. So to remedy that, I took it to the local tactical store and had the nice ladies sew the back straps together taking about 2-4 inches off. It remedied the problem, and as little as a problem may seem like that, it was a big one when running under fire. Just an idea for the future, give size options for the cumberbund. Other then that great product. I really should have gone with the OD though.... Have a good one. Hunter 2-1 (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Weak Attachment points Review by PEPE (OHIO) 8/7/2011 5:26 PM
I have two of these. One is OD from about two years ago and is missing the velcro in the back and front. It has gone through some serious field use and has held up in wet, cold, and hot environments. I recently purchased a khaki/coyote vest and while putting on the MOLLE pouches the lower button attach point comes off. Thank God for the velcro. I cut that piece off. I haven't tested in the field or on the range yet, so I can't comment on how it has held up there. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Very comfortable Review by Pete (Oceanside, CA) 4/15/2011 2:17 PM
Very lightweight and inexpensive. Somewhat similar to the SPC the USMC uses. The webbing on the pulldown flap closest to the edges are a bit thin for M16 mag pouches but can still carry a combat load. To my military brothers, this plate carrier is a nice product, but be advised that it does not come equip with ballistic soft inserts. Although there is enough space in the MOPC for both kevlar/soft armor inserts and SAPI plates. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Contractor Review by Will (US) 3/22/2010 3:53 AM
Great Vest. Allows great range of movement, while still carrying enough gear to get the job done. Only downside is the molle webbing on the front, near the edges where the cumberband goes in the final row is not wide enough to feed a molle strap through. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
GS-14 Review by Victor Grey (USA) 6/7/2009 7:54 PM
Great value for the dollar!!! I have abused this product in the both Afghanistan and Iraq (Not at a cushy static site either). It performed well under fire and in and out of vehicles. Also, it didn't hinder my movement while carrying a fully loaded 3-day assault pack up and down the mountains. As great as this plate carrier is, I find there are 2 areas of improvement I hope your company remedies. I will address the issues and the soulutions I used to overcome them. Here goes; the first issue is the amount of velcro on the front "flap." I had to sew more on there so that the entire "flap" was secured and curling up at the corners. That was an easy fix. The next thing was more crucial. I found the cumberbund lacking in rigidity. My combat load, and other accessories, would begin to sag outward. So I undid the stitching and placed a hard, yet flexible (10" x6"), piece of plastic in the sides, and re-sewed it back up (I refered to the USMC's cumberbund). Once I improved these two areas, the plate carrier out performed similar and more expensive products from other BIG Name companies. Condor, you will make more money and have a much more loyal customer base by continuing to sell your qualiity products at honest, realistic prices. To hell with those other "by-my-name-not-my quality" companies. Respectfully, Vic. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Great for inside vehicle (5ft 8in and shorter) Review by William Perigo (Woodstock, MD) 5/28/2009 10:44 AM
This vest is similar to the #MPC Modular Plate Carrier but is slightly shorter. It doesn't come up as far in the neck. I have both, and the only real difference is the size, so make your selection between the two based on size. (Posted on 7/5/2019)
Copper Review by Frank (Michigan) 5/20/2009 6:04 PM
Just received the vest and it looks great. Its extremely adjustable and even fits my big ass. I added some plates in the front and back and it carries them nicely. The elastic cumberbun works great and that too is adjustable. I will most certainly purchase from your company again. Thanks (Posted on 7/5/2019)
